Privacy Policy

At DISCO, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information through our app.

Introduction

At DISCO, we are committed to revolutionizing the music industry by creating a fair and transparent marketplace that empowers independent artists. We understand the challenges artists have faced with exploitative practices and a lack of control over their work and earnings. DISCO was founded on the principles of respecting artists' rights, ethical data practices, and facilitating a direct connection between artists and fans.

Privacy and the ethical use of data are paramount to our mission. We collect and utilize data solely for the purpose of enabling our innovative music marketplace and delivering a tailored experience to artists and fans. Our policy is clear: we do not exploit user data for profit or engage in any unethical practices. The information shared with us is used exclusively to create artist profiles, track sales and streams, facilitate direct payments from fans, and provide outstanding support.

DISCO operates as a fair trade platform, empowering artists to take control of their music careers while ensuring fans can directly support the artists they love. We do not involve any intermediaries or take unfair cuts - the focus is on connecting artists with their audience and ensuring artists receive their well-deserved earnings.

Our goal is not merely to build another music application but to foster a community where independent artists can thrive on their own terms. We are dedicated to upholding a new standard of ethics and artist empowerment in the music industry.

Together, we will create a platform that celebrates artistic talent, promotes fair practices, and establishes a mutually beneficial relationship between artists and fans.

Artist Payments

DISCO works with artists directly to facilitate music sales and streaming royalties. To pay out earnings to artists, we use Stripe Connect, a third-party payment processing service. When an artist signs up with DISCO, they will be prompted to create a connected account with Stripe. This connected account allows DISCO to securely transfer the artist's earnings from our platform to their Stripe account. DISCO does not store or have access to any payment information or financial data related to artists.

Artists manage their Stripe accounts directly with Stripe, including providing and updating their payment details, setting payout schedules, and accessing transaction histories. By using Stripe Connect, we ensure that artists' financial information is handled securely and in compliance with industry standards.

For more information on how Stripe handles personal data and privacy, please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Beta Stage Privacy Conditions

While we cannot guarantee complete data integrity during this beta phase, DISCO will make reasonable efforts to address any reported issues or data loss incidents to the extent feasible within the limitations of our beta program. We strongly encourage users to provide feedback, report any concerns, and engage in open communication with our team, as their input will be invaluable in identifying areas for improvement and enhancing the DISCO platform prior to its official launch.
